Indy's vet visit

Indy went in to see one of the vets at our regular clinic today. The vet said that he's younger than they told us- 5 months old or maybe 6 at the most. He's big though, and will end up being a pretty big guy. The vet said he looks healthy and might be the most confident cat he's ever dealt with.

He had a blood test too and we'll know the results tomorrow. He does have the same issue as Cobalt though with both baby and adult teeth. The vet said that it is not uncommon and his baby teeth might still fall out on their own. Otherwise they will have to be pulled but we'll keep an eye on it.

Zoe is a happy cat (if you ignore all the growling). Having Indy around seems to have made her more active and curious. They chase eachother around and are able to get close now with much less hissing and growling on her part. She plays with him and we're calling it angry playing. She's getting better every day though.
Oh yay! I just saw him run up and eat a bit off her little plate while she was eating and she didn't even care (or maybe notice) - thats gotta be a good sign.

Oh we're so happy to hear that the vet visit went well. Hopefully the blood tests will confirm that Indy is healthy.

We're glad to hear that the teeth issue is not uncommon. We haven't had a chance to talk to our vet yet. But I'm hoping the teeth will fall out before their neuter on the 10th.

Also glad to hear that the playing is getting better!! Hopefully it won't be too much longer before they are playing like old friends.

Waa hoo - "sharing" food (alright almost sharing) is big news! It sounds like things are going well there. We'll be purring for good test results on the blood.

Oh, if they can eat off the same plate, that's fantastic! I have lived with my sister Pixie for years and we do not share food plates.

Nice that the vet visit went well and that Zoe is getting used to him.

This is good news. We know how much fun it is to have a new fur member. And we know you still miss Smudge.
